J. Charpentier Comte de Chenizot Brut Champagne: delicate, elegant and really aromatic with 33% of the types of grapes from the years 2006, 2007 & 2008
Named for a prominent lord in the Marne valley before the French Revolution who bequeathed much of his estate to the Charpentier family. The wine is a deep yellow gold in the glass with aromas of apple, lemon, brioche, stone, and mushroom. Nearly full bodied and with a creamy mouthfeel that’s cleaned up by the acidity on the finish.
